First was my plane losing the nose, motor, and the tail. I basically laughed it off because I hit a lame bush when I was trying to land. Rookie error.

Overall it was a really fun day flying planes with Kirk and Jon. It was disappointing to go out on my first flight with my new plane and crash it. But Kirk and I got my plane all fixed today and took one flight and successfully landed even though it was dark and couldn't see enough.

Sheesh! So what exactly happened? I don't think I ever actually heard the story behind Jon's loss.
Jon was doing a roll and when he was inverted he pushed the stick the wrong way and nose dived straight into the ground. He was flying to low so he had no time to correct.
That crash was horrible. Just a dumb thumb accident. Parts were flying everywhere. :)
Looks like you all had fun! I am glad they are just model planes and no one is actually getting hurt. It is fun to see you all having a great time together. Aren't families fun!

Thats all I could do was laugh about it, I mean they are just small planes that can be rebuilt with 5 min epoxy. Or a new plane is only 100 bucks.
Poor Jon... But that is what Kirkus is for! LOL
