Interview Update and Stuff
Ok everybody, Sorry I haven't responded to you all about my interviews. I have been so busy, it is hard to find time to update everything.
The IRS interview went pretty good, I was there for 2.5 hours. I actually had 2 different interviews while I was there and they totalled about 25 - 30 min of the time there. They told me that they are hiring 12 people in June and 18 more in Sept. If I get the June one I will hear about it in May. That's all I know at this time, But I do think it went good.
I also had an interview with US Foodservice, this is where I am a temp right now. I was offered a full time position with benefits with them. I accepted and will be on their payroll on the 27th. I will finally have benefits, woohoo. Oh, I am also getting a raise too.
I am soo busy with baseball this year and I am having a lot of fun with it. Coaching Jenna's team has been a blast. It is fun to watch the kids progress and get better every game. What really cracks me up is how some of the kids get bored and sit down and play with the dirt. They don't care about playing ball anymore and start talking to me about the dirt they have on their shoes. I love it. Today's game was interesting though, I got beaned in the head with a ball. I never saw it coming. The kid from first threw it to the catcher and I was talking to my batter and the ball, well it clocked me a good one. I was just glad it was a tee ball and not a real ball.

Interview Time
Revised version,
I got a call today from the IRS, they wanted to schedule an interview with me this week. I am soo excited for this one. I will go in on Thurs, so I will report how it goes.
I also am going to have an interview with US Foodservice on Tuesday. This is the place where I am already working as a temp. This is mostly done as a formality for HR. I basically have that job already just not permanently.
So good news from 2 places in one day.

Still Waiting
I am still waiting to hear about my job with US Foodservice. I officially applied for my job last week, so i expect ot hear in the next week or two about it. Still no answer back from the IRS either.
Other tidbits, I am helping assistant coach with Jenna's t-ball team. I am actually having so much fun helping her and the team. It is so funny to watch the kids when they dont know where to run or when to stop. I am on the field just laughing my head off. Jenna got to play catcher and was so cute wearing all the gear.
Scary news, Jonathan has reached the ripe old age of 151/2. He now wants to get his permit so he can drive. I can hardly believe he is old enough to drive now, we are in trouble.

The hiring freeze is over
Hooray, the freeze is over. I got to apply to get my temp position as a full time employee. Finally, I can get some benefits.
On monday, I got my own division to work for, so I knew I would be staying here. Now just the wait and get hired part of it.
On another side note, I applied for a job with the IRS. The application process took almost 3 hours. Then I got a response back to do an online simulation that took 2 hours. I should hear back from that in abt 3 weeks and then an interview probably not till June. I am hopefull for that job because I would like to work for the IRS.

It's About Time
NO WAY!!! I am writing a post again.
I haven't had much to say or even felt like writing on here. But I felt I need to update all my fellow bloggers and followers.
I am still working as a temp for US Foods working as an A/R Adjuster. They are supposed to hire me on full time when the hiring freeze ends. While I am working there, I am still looking for other job opportunities to make more money. Its hard to find a good job right now due to the economy though. Some day it will be over and we can all get back to life.
Since November, we have finally sold our house, gave up our suburban, and am still looking for a job. The suburban was an interesting ordeal but as soon as we gave it back to the loan company, we found out that Michelle's Aunt was selling an old suburban for a good price and her mom helped us buy it, thanks Carolyn. So now we don't have that huge car payment hanging over us.
I do have an interview with University of Phoenix on Friday, I could use all of your prayers for that one. I already passed their online interview, so it could be a good thing. Plus, it is where I went to school so it would cool to work there.
One thing I have learned through this entire ordeal is how to really stick to a budget. In the past I always made a budget but when the paycheck came, bye bye money. Now, we watch our money carefully and spend only what we need to to stay alive. Sometimes the kids go crazy when they don't have snacks, but they will slowly learn how to deal with it. And now we even are saving money and NOT spending it. We are working on building a months worth of funds at a time. I am amazed how much we already have for as little as we make now.
I am thinking about starting my own business as a photographer, just waiting for the right equipment to do it. I would like to stop working at Domino's and focus on photography. More on that to come later I guess. Pictures below.
Anywho, I will try to post more as things happen, otherwise I hope all of you the best through these tough times. Just keep a positive outlook and don't watch the news.
